Early Morning Difference Makers: Recognizing the YNHS Housekeeping Team this Thanksgiving

At Yakima Neighborhood Health Services, we know that care begins long before a patient meets with the provider. It starts with a clean, safe and welcoming environment, made possible each day by our Housekeeping Team.

As we celebrate Thanksgiving, we want to express our appreciation for the hardworking individuals who ensure our clinics and facilities are ready before the sun even rises.

The Team that starts Our Day - Before the Day Begins

Most all our Housekeeping staff begin their workday as early as 4:00a.m., while many of us are still asleep. By the time our first patients arrive, exam rooms are cleaned, common areas are refreshed, restrooms are sanitized, and high-touch areas have been disinfected. Their early morning commitment sets the tone for a safe and welcoming day across all YNHS locations.

Housekeeping Supervisor Shantel Zink shares, "I'm incredibly proud of this team. They work hard, they take pride in what they do, and they show up early everyday because they care about their work. They really make a difference across the organization."

The Heart of a Health Space

Throughout a year of growth and change at YNHS, our Housekeeping Team has shown remarkable dependability, pride, and heart. Their work supports our mission in ways that often go unspoken but are foundational to everything we do. Their efforts help ensure that every patient who walks through our doors is welcomed by a clean environment. Simply put: our clinics could not function without them.

A Special Thank You This Holiday Season

This Thanksgiving, we want each member of the Housekeeping Team to know how truly valued they are. Your early mornings, consistency, and the care you put into your work make a difference every day.

To our Housekeeping staff: thank you for everything you do and for everything you do that many never see. We are grateful to you today and always.

From all of us at YNHS,

Happy Thanksgiving
